Damn, I gotta use this more. Sorry, I sometimes have to restructure my computer an my faves get lost along the way. That's a damn shame, when you gotta remember to do your own blog. Oh, old is me!!! HAHAHA!! So anyway, this is what I've been up to. Doing background illustrations for an IPod game with the talented Wesley Gunn, my regular job(Ughhhhhh!!!) and trying to finish up all thoughts and character designs for my graphic novel. Alla this while waiting for the fine folks at Solipsist Films( and Root Films for that matter!!) to show me a little something from the Atomik Mike animated feature they're working on. Oh, what, you didn't know?? Yup, Atomik Mike is coming to you soon, I can't wait.So, the graphic novel I'm working on is a doozy, elements of sci-fi, Fight Club,and Battle Royale all wrapped up under one cover.It's defanitly NOT Atomik Mike, an you'll see from the get go. Talk to you guys soon, I will make a more concentrated effort then b4(yea, you've heard that b4!!)Here's some recent work in the meantime.

Hey, hey, I'm in da house!!! 2007 rolled in with lotsa promise, and to those who follow this blog, all I can say is : If you are still there, you get credit for having big time patience, LOL!! Atomik Mike is on the verge of breaking into the next plane, I jus can't pinpoit when!!! But,I have faith, I have faith......

I'm still hard at work on the next mini, Stephan is wracking his head to make this one awesome!!! Plus, to those who think I only do the monkey, I also will do a short story in a anthology book with a group of excellent artists/writers!!(I can squeeze it in, somehow!!!) And so I leave you with a look at the characters to that, I gotta get back to the drawing board!!!

HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS..................
well, Halloween was yesterday, now comes the unenviable task of workin' for Xmas. I'm all but done on the 1st issue of the next mini, due out from Desperado Publishing, great lil' joint.
We also got a LOT of heads lookin' at Mike. I know I said this b4, but b4 we also had a TV show, LOL. When the time comes, I'll let you in on that lil' story, but for now, Mike is ready to rock the world and it's only a matter of time. Keep your fingers crossed, an maybe even a lil' prayer or two..........

Well, B-more Con has come an gone. As usual, Atomik Mike books sold out, this time by Sunday afternoon, which gave me time to do some sketches/commissions. Wanna thank everyone who came out and got some monkey stash, alla bunch of great fans.
My B-more Con story.
Kid comes up to my table and asks"How much are these??", referring to the prints I had for sale at my table. I told him the price to which he responded, "All I have is a dollar, what can I get with a dollar???" I said," Well let me see here," I figured I'd give him one of my Atomik Mike coming soon prints left from last year, sinceI had some left I saved for family. Only I couldn't find the damn things at the moment.So I figured what the hell, I'll give him a freebie, why not." So I asked him "Which one do you want??" Now I had a Spidey pic, Batman, Robin, and a Hellboy Jr one like you can see here. What does he pick???

BALTIMOREEEEEE!!!!!!
Waddup all. Yup, it's that time again, Baltimore Con, and I'll be there both days, the 9th and the 10th, along wit family in tow. The wife got wind of the scantily clad women down there, and now I can't even go there alone to get crab wings!!!HaHa, it's great that she's trying to be a little more supportive of my lifelong hobby, especially wit the kids drawing now(Look out Kuberts!!!)
Anyway, I'm already on the second volume of Atomik Mike, an I will have news on the lil' guy that will blow you away. Soon .Yes, the suspense is killing me too. Anywayz, look out for Mike come say March, 2007, as Mike will now be published under the Desperado Publishing banner.
Well, gotta go, remember B-more, I'll be open fpr commisssions(if ya come early enough,)and I'll have prints for ya'll to purchase an marvel at, LOL

BBBAAAAAAAACCCCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, sorry folks, but I am a non-updating fiend. Lotta things happening at the moment, and trying to keep my head above water and do the family thing too, you seem to sometimes 4get the little things.
Anewayz, Atomik Mike is heading for the small screen. Yup, he and April will be the hosts of KidQuest Adventures, to begin this fall. It's a little overwhelming, but I am stoked. The thought of kids growing up with Mike helping them out makes me feel great. Actually, it will start airing in Florida, but we hope he picks up steam. It will air thru Comcast Cable.
Also, I am jus on the second volume of Atomik Mike, and boy Stephan Nilson has a great time travel tale for you guys lined up for this go-round. I can't wait to go and get a nice headstart so I can put in all sorts of nostalgic stuff, this is gonna be great!! So come along for the ride!!!

Also, I have a great online artist friend name of Will Caligan who is in a tight spot. He is taking commissions, and could really use the work right now. Man, it's been 4eva , I know, such is my life. But, gotz some free time coming up after the 1st story arc on Atomik Mike, and I'll be available for commissions again. S O L D O U T ! ! ! !

Two words you never want to hear when out at the movies, or buying a comic. But, in this case.......
The copies we had of Atomik Mike #1 sold out pretty much the first day of N.Y.C. Comic Con!!
Can't wait to hear what went down in Megacon, but if this is any indication....
Don't fret guys, if you feel your store let you down!! The book was pushed back because of being sent to another printer, we didn't even have the number of copies we were supposed to have!!
So, on March 8th, it should be at your local stores!! Let us know what you think!!

WHOOP!!!!!!! Wassup everyone!! Who the hell am I??? I run this blog!!! Ok, well, was runnin' it, til I got super busy!! I'm still super busy, but I wanted to chime in to tell ya that Atomik Mike #1 is still on track for a mid February release, and that you can still get the CGC cover version, pictured here, but ya better move, they're goin'!!!
Also, I'm still plannin on going to the N.Y. Con, so check back because I'll be taking mega pictures!!

Wassup everyone, I know it's been a minute, calm down and I'll tell you wat be happenin'!!
First off, Baltimore was a great time, I'd like to thank everyone who came by my table to say Hi, it was quite an experience!! The best moment for me was when this couple came by to say Wat's up, because they saw me on T.V.!! Even had a copy of the cover to Atomik Mike#1 for me to sign!! Man my head swelled as they took my picture and made me feel like Jim Lee!!! HAHAHA!!
It's for reasons like that, and people like them that I am loving doing this, and tho my idiot ass didn't get their address, if and when they reply to this blog , lemme know, an autographed copy of Atomik Mike will make it to you when released!!
Jus send that pic of me as a jpeg(if you can fit my head in, hehehehe), so I know it's you, and we're Golden!! It was great meeting you and all the other fans down at Baltimore!!
Ok, first off, this is a little pic for Keron Grant's sketch contest on his site( mad competition there, wooooooo!!) Oh, and it looks like yours truly may be all up in his hometown promoting Atomik Mike this February of 2006!!! More news when I can give it up!!

Hey, been a slow coupla days as I finish up on the last coupla pages on the 1st book, clean up on the prints I'll have at Baltimore, and other small projects (2 for other publishers.)
Not trying to go overboard, just making sure I got something in my resume besides "AtomikMike."
Last day of summer, the wife decides to drag us all out to a touch and feel workshop, perfect for our kids. Me??? I was looking forward to getting some french curves at AC Moore afterwards( I need em' bad!!!)
Soon I'll post some sketches of new characters, but all in good time.

Well, tell your Mama I'm a ghetto supastar!!! I hit my local news this week, as a coupla reporters came by to talk about AtomikMike. Man, that camera of his added like 20 pounds!! Bad idea!!!
Oh well, great exposure for the book. I'm doing some last minute stuff on the pages as well as character design for the next issue, so I'm pretty busy. But,me and this talented kid named ericscarecrow have meant to collab on somethin, so I did this Hellboy Jr. pic. Hopefully, he'll put his magic on it next.

Well, slow coupla days, but productive. Got some pages done, almost done with the first issue, and Stephan will have the script for the 2nd issue when he gets back form wiz World Chi-town.
(Man, that sounded like a fun time he was having when I called him. Oh well, ...........soon.

Ok, the announcement will probably be made at Wiz World Chicago, but my book, AtomikMike, has been picked up by Alias Enterprises( Lions,Tigers and Bears, Lullaby,)!! I'm stoked as hell, and working away on pages as we speak. here's a taste of the cover. Yeaaaaaaaa Boiiiiiiiieeee!!!
I am the penciller, Stephan Nilson(of Metal Locus fame) is the series writer/co-creator, Mar Degano on inks, and Barry Williams on colors.
Look for it 1st quarter 2006.
